Karen Wadell from Eagle County Sheriff's Office taught female property owners how to recognize victim signals and behaviors, how to recognize potentially harmful situations, and physical techniques to distract and escape an attack during a self defense and personal safety class earlier this week.
Those in attendance said it was valuable and empowering. The class was at capacity for the four-hour course.
Property owners signed up for the class at the personal safety booth hosted by Eagle County Sheriff's Office during the Cordillera Safety Event in August.
Public safety messages provided by our partner organizations during Safety Event are now available.
