Even though the central Rockies continue to receive winter weather, it is never to early to prepare for wildfire.
Collective maintenance can save a whole community. Commit a couple of hours, or the entire day, to preparing your home for the upcoming wildfire season. Promote collaboration and encourage your neighbors to work on projects that can help protect all homes in a neighborhood from wildfire risk.
Embers can collect in small nooks and crannies and ignite combustible materials. Remove dead leaves and tree needles from around the home and on roofs and eves. Remove dead vegetation and debris from under decks/porches and between deck board joints. Never store flammable materials underneath decks or porches.
